Want compare fuel consumption buy 316d. 18km/l or 900km per tank of 50l. Beat that.

Me too. :)

But seeing from the earlier posts, the fc that some have reported on their bimmers is truly damn amazing.

Have always thought our rides are petrol tar kings. Hahaha

Hi all fellow 3 series owners! I just received my 316i sport on Monday and so far has been enjoying the great drive. However, i noticed that whenever i am driving at a slow speed like within carparks, slowing down towards red traffic lights etc... whenever i lift my foot fully from the accelerator, there is a braking action from the car which causes a braking jerk. Anyone else experienced this? Is this normal?

I only experienced this when moving off from my car park every morning. Jerky at slow speed when my foot is off the accelerator. After that, it's ok thru the day.

I guess the engine has not warmed up yet in morning, for my case.

gd day to all and a happy new year. im new here and i have a whole list of queries to share. i hope u guys will bear with me. i recently test drove both the merc cla 180 and the bmw 316. they are both gd cars but im way more impressed with the beemer by virtue of its precise handling. there are just a few things holding me back
1. price: 154k (2 bids non guaranteed coe)
2. minimal options (eg no sunroof, rev camera, cruise ctrl, sunglass holder, gp maps, only 16 inch rims etc)
3. the fact that pml is expecting the facelift model to arrive by end 2015
4. some electronic issues ive heard of
5. some gearbox issues ive heard of
6. the merc cla 180 does seem to have more options

I know no one can guarantee that nothing will go wrong on your purchase but im just trying to get some clarity from users of the 316 that are both happy and disappointed(if any) with their purchases. thank you in advance

Re: F30 316: reasonable ride? Any major/ common issues?

get the new C class!! my advise! 2cts.

Re: F30 316: reasonable ride? Any major/ common issues?

ive heard that too. but its beyond my budget man. at least 20k ish more

Re: F30 316: reasonable ride? Any major/ common issues?

Is the brand really worth the premium? You could probably get a fully loaded Honda or Toyota for the price of a 316i ... just saying
