sori but jus to OT
mk5 gti engine is an older version coded ea113.
mk6 gti engine is newer version coded ea888.
mk7 gti engine same as mk6 coded ea888 but slightly higher boost.
mk7 r engine yet to confirm but shld be strengthened ea888.
mk6 r engine is the older ea113 as vw AT THAT TIME felt the newer ea888 was not yet proven to boost up till 276ps euro 256ps spore,
however, the older ea113 was strengthened to take this increased boost as well.
with the ea113, vw fitted the k03 to the mk5 gti but fitted a bigger k04 turbo to the mk6 r.
we fitted the k04 upgrade to the mk5 gti and had front-wheel spin even at 100km/hr (see torque magazine write-up 'ballsy golf gti'.
this then forced us to rethink n get a r AWD.

there was once I realised that I forgot to call PML to check if ECU tuning will void warranty after I got the tune done, I waste no time and call PML immediately and also provided them my VRN/ Name/ contact to them...............................

That's why you see.... I'm struggling between the luxury and performance.
Haha it'll be best if I get a 335i cos that'll be the best of both worlds right?
My friend also pointed out scirocco 2.0 as an alternative but I drove the car once and found the brakes super sensitive. Does it apply to all VWs?
