Dear Seniors Bro and Sis,

Good Evening

Happy New Year

May I know anyone can advise me on this F30 320i Efficient Dynamics

I understand it is actually F30 318i being rebadge as 320iED

Try to search through this forum but cant find any thread talking about this model

I am thinking to buy a preowned 2014 made of this model

320i ED 2012-2015

N13B16

125 kW (168 bhp) @ 4,800 rpm

250 N⋅m (184 lb⋅ft) @ 1,500 rpm

Any kind soul can tell me the Problems about this Prince N13B16 powered car

Thanks in advance

Best Regards

Henry

Engine is a 316 but the turbo is slightly bigger thus horse power is 10bhp behind 320. And BMW give it a 320 Tag. I’m driving one.

Actually, it should be 318.

This car use the same engine as 118.

On the other hand, only Mini Cooper S (N13) has the same power as F30 320

75 kW version

  • 2012–2015 F20 114i
100 kW version

  • 2011–2015 F20 116i
  • 2012–2015 F30 316i
125 kW version

  • 2011–2015 F20 118i
  • 2012–2015 F30 320i ED
Yes sir

You are right

The salesman told me that in Turkey the F10 520i is using inline 4 N20 1.6litre/125kW version

So big car with 118i engine

That’s why he told me is enough to power F20 & F30 if it is same on F10

Most important is this car got any big issue or not:(

Cos Prince N13 is replaced by 3 cylinder 1.5 litre:eek:

Thank you Sir :D

So far never encounter major problem lah. Biggest I ever encounter is my 2nd pistol cannot fire in first year but under warranty so they PML fixed for free. Overall good ride that serve me almost 4 years.

Thanks for your reply

I think this is not really popular in SG right?

Post so Long only you reply:D

If I buy the 3 year old means no more warranty

Don’t know whether worth or not:(

Moreover this F30 going to discontinue real soon according to PML

Best part is New car is the same depreciation with this 3 years old

Don’t know should buy or not

Or go for the new one:eek:

I think many buy this but all are “uncles” who is not in the forum. I saw many on the road. [emoji23]

If new car same depreciation then better buy new. Personal experience, drive BMW need warranty.

Hello, stumbled on this thread. Haven't been online for a while. Yes. I drive a 320iED.

As Jtek has said, firing piston was an issue, but warranty covered - the drivetrain signal light will come up. I changed 2 out of 4 whatever in the pistons thing. You might want to ask about this issue. Other than that, nothing changed.

I like this car because it's super fuel efficient. I don't have any comparison with later models. This is one factor which I have enjoyed driving this car. power is there when you need it.

It is automatically in Eco Pro mode, enough to travel here and there and overtake when needed. Switch to Comfort or Sports when you feel like burning some fuel and feel "powerful" on the roads.

It is also slightly lower than the usual 3-series. BMW wanted to lower the drag.

I didn't like the gear change - felt that it could be smoother. Not too sure if other 3-series are like that.

All in all, it is an entry BMW. cannot fight with all the other higher specs model, but decent enough for me.

It is a great car but right now used one in market is quite expensive

Depreciation 14 plus per annum

Newest one 2014 car
