i have a screw in my tyre which i have yet find time to patch it since discovered 2-3 weeks ago. recently i went to pump air to my tyre, that tyre with screw was at 180 vs rest at 215. simply top up all to 245 and i was good to go again, still no time to go tyre shop, probably do so this weekend.

Better try find time...cheers.

Traded in the RFT at Leong Seng today for Michelin PSS.

Instant gripping and better braking. Slight steering feedback, which came to me a bonus and am happy about it. Cornering is the same as stock, quite stable. The RFT is really heavy when I tried lifting them. I thought the car will feel even lighter but it was opposite. I felt the car more planted on the road and just gripping.

The M style stock rim is 8Jx18 offset +34 front and 8.5Jx18 offset +47.

Any idea what is the weight of each front and rear M style stock rim?

Is the auto start stop function that bad? I am collecting my car next week and I still considering whether to ask them to deactivate it.

Red is very nice for F30, pls post your photos when u collected your ride. Ask them to programme off the start stop function before you collect, if you find them irritating.

hey all, since we were talking abt "screw" tyre... those bro who changed their RFT with normal tyres, how to deal with punctured tyre (touch wood!) when you dont have the spare tyre in your boot. i understand that there is no spare tyre for models come with RFT..

Major case tow truck or tire shop come over to change if they free.

ya, i've changed to normal tires. Unless you drive to MY, it's pretty convenient here in SG to get help for a punctured type.

Happened to me 4-5 times. Just drive slowly like what Red Bean bun said.
The worst leak I had, I pumped air at each and every petrol station I passed by, till I reached the tyre shop. But I still made it. Today tyre still on my car after repair.
So no worries.

wah, tt's mean in the case of puncture, we cant DIY anymore, either pray hard tt it is only a minor case and the car can still crawl to nearby tyre shop; if not, just sit in the car and wait for help? i have never called in help to change typre so far, all DIY, not sure how much it costs per service?

Personally, I think that to join AA at $112.35 for a year membership and subsequent yrs @$80.25/yr is a bad idea.
the benefits are crappy and the only "good" thing is the 6 times free towing per year that comes with some restrictions.

2) How many time(s) a year do you think you would need the towing service?

ya,, a lot of people go through a whole lifecycle (2-3 yrs) of their tires without ever having a puncture. Like Vansoh stated, just have the number of a good towing service and tire shop handy on phone and you'll be fine.

There is an off button if you like ASS back on even if they set the ASS off as default. Personally I like ASS off.

I think no need to deactivate it immediately. But you can book an appointment first with your SE for them.

There is an off button if you like ASS back on even if they set the ASS off as default. Personally I like ASS off.
