Hi all,
The new F30 320i can't read chinese words? (When i play chinese song via thumb drive) Why there is no chinese language selection and how there going to sell bmw to china market?

err... HK F30 can read chinese words...just that ours cant

Depends on which "iDrive" you have, the new one can read/display Asian font. If yours cannot means not new enough

I just wrote to BMW Asia this morning asking for Chinese character display support. Let's see whether they will reply......

I tell you their reply:

2.) Your feedback is received, we are glad to inform you our new generation head unit has the capability to display Chinese character, we thank you for your support.

For chinese characters, it's whether the capability has been unlocked/enabled or not. This requires coding/programming of the car to enable the functionality.

Are your sure?

When F10 was launched in MY, there are loads of problem for F10 shocks. BMW MY dragged their feet to fix the problem. Do you thinks that this is a much smaller market BMW Asia will care?

Anyway, any cars with BMW badge will sell. Even BMW badge QQ will sells.
