Re: F30, Which mode to use for normal driving?

Sports mode activates a slightly more powerful map, apart from gear change delay and suspension. Tested on dyno. Did sports mode on the 4th run. Should be less output due to heat soak, yet it gave slightly better numbers across the rev range. Try it out next time you dyno!

Nabey, you all are rude and disrespectful in helping the newbies. Instead of spoonfeeding, you all offer nothing constructive in terms of comments and manage to piss off just about every newbies on the forum. I am a newbie too, you know?

I will report to admin that you all are not helpful. Your membership should be challenged if you continue on this anti-social path. You all should be banned.

Threadstarter - kindly pass me your car key and I will show you which mode to use and how to drive a BMW. I bro.

Re: F30, Which mode to use for normal driving?

I use Sport+ mode on normal weather and comfort mode during heavy rain.

Sport+ may remove DSC but you still have DTC preventing you from doing any stunts, and it's almost impossible to lose traction with grippy tires like PSS

Besides gear change timing, throttle response is also different between comfort and sports mode. Suspension mode will also change if you have the adaptive suspension.

should it be comfort mode?

Eco really no use, too soft and slow.
Sports+ no DSC...

Anyone knows what's the difference between comfort mode and sport mode other than the gear change timing?
I know for comfort mode, after 2nd gear, gear shifts up like everytime reach 1500 rev, for sport mode gear changes on rev 3500, but other than that, what will be the actual difference between the 2 modes?

Does the steering wheel stiffen up in sports mode ?

Hi Ryan,
I've been on bmw.sg for the past year or so and i have to say that most of the members here are civilised, friendly and constructive in their comments. However, 2 individuals (radon and XXX) have without exception been rude, disrespectful and quite troll-like in their comments. They offer nothing constructive in terms of their comments and manage to piss off just about everybody on the forum.
I know its a democratic country, but what is the limit that individuals can go before they get put in their place? This forum should be a community, not an ego contest. If you don't like bimmers or bimmer drivers, why spend your time to insult us at every possible turn? I strongly feel that their membership should be challenged if they continue on this anti-social path.
Sorry for my 2 cents worth but im unable to bottle up my frustration at them any longer.
Regards
