Came home to this yesterday, after lending my brother in law the car for a short while.

Still haven't quite decided whether to install a replacement.

Get your brother in law to pay for the damages ;)

Re: F32 420i: Birthday Bimmer

Seconded, that's some seriously careless driving.

Made an appointment today to check out CodeWerx's new workshop.

Got Tony to Install the autoflash transmission tune. While the process took less than 30minutes, i had to wait 1 hour despite making an appointment :mad::mad::mad: (Tony was held up while collecting inventory)

Anyway, long wait aside, I must say that Tony is really knowledgeable and willing to share knowledge. So kudos to him for that. Thanks to his knowledge sharing session, I now know more or less what my upcoming mods are going to be.

Back to the transmission autoflash. After installation, I took the car on an "adjustment" run (to let the car get use to the transmission tune). Tony told me to give the car 50KM or so to get used to the tune and to go through all 8 gears while on D and DS. I took the car up Bartley road East towards bedok reservoir, then through kaki bukit and then to PIE. Hitting all 8 gears in D was easy. Trying to get beyond 6th gear while in DS was impossible without breaking the speed limit. Nonetheless even during the adjustment run, I could immediately feel the improved responsiveness in the car. To top it off, the smoother gear change were also having an EXTREMELY positive impact on FC. Even though throughout much of the drive I was pushing the engine hard, I still managed an impressive 9.6KM/L.

LOL, that's how modding starts off with minor things and then elevate to expen$ive upgrades

Re: F32 420i: Birthday Bimmer

Recently did the following to my car.

  1. Blackout Tint (from Vinyl Dynamics)
  2. Wrap rims with red highlight (from Vinyl Dynamics)
  3. Original M-Performance Matte Black Spoiler (from Eng Soon)
  4. M-Performance LED Door Sills (from Eng Soon)
  5. Re-attached M-Performance Front Splitter(from JDM)

Let the pictures do the talking.

Wrapped the rims to give it a little bit of contrast. Cheap and decent workmanship.

I did the tinting on 4th August night, and was caught by LTA1E for illegal tint on 5th August morning LESS THAN 12 hours later while on the way to work. I must be the luckiest person on earth to get caught so quickly. I was Beng for 1 day and then my balls shrank, so goodbye tint! I removed the tint the day after on 6th August.

According to the light meter, light transmission was 22%. :oooops:

Brought the Spoiler and LED Door Sills to JDM for them to install. While they were at it and since Daniel has been really helpful, against my better judgement, i decided to buy another front splitter because I removed the first piece ever since my brother in law had ripped the first in June and I hadn't replaced it since then. Kudos to Daniel and team for the quick turn around. Was in and out within 90 minutes.

Spoiler is still being painted, I will post pics once I've had it installed, however I think I will replace it soon. I didn't know that even though they are both M-Performance Spoilers, the Carbon Fibre and Matte Black Spoilers are of different design. The matte black spoiler (which I bought), is more of a duck lip. I wanted the carbon fibre design, just that I don't like the carbon fibre look and the price is insane! $360 vs $800 (before GST). Oh well.
