Thanks Wing. I have reloaded the pics.

Andy, understand that u ordered the CCB on your M3. How is it so far? Any squealing? Just read today on bimmerpost that Brembo just released a set of GT and GTR brake upgrade for the M3/M4. Might be a tough sell considering that the stock brakes are so good this time round.

Very good. Love it to death. Zero squeal and super Jiak though I still running in.

Many online comments that if don't use for track, will be fairly long shelf life.

Can it be coded to be more jiak?

Like when upgrading to M performance bbk, there's a code to make it "clamp" harder haha .

I have the CCB on my M5 mainly because I can't stand the insane amt of brake dusts. It squeals like a pig being slowly slaughtered. My frequent stop-start driving might have something to do with it...

Brembo likely fighting against stock brakes instead of carbon ones. Price of carbon upgrade looks to be similar range as Brembo.

Yes I did. I did 2 rounds of serious brake bedding at Tuas, but din prevent it from happening. The key is hard braking every now and then to clean the brakes. I dun ever have that kind of opportunity on local roads during daily driving, so quite hard to do. I am using my age-old tried and proven method of spraying wheel cleaner into the calipers and then hosting them down. It has served me well over the years with every BMW I have owned.

Their BBKs this time round have both steel and carbon ceramic discs. According to a very respected racer/owner in US, he was not able to get the stock steel brakes to fade under repeated hammering on the track and the Ring. That bodes well for the stock system compared to the E9x M3.

Having toyed at the idea of getting the Macan Turbo, this video makes the idea look silly even though I am not the biggest proponent of straight line speed.

Macan Turbo vs F80 M3 - Evo Drag Battle

It's not funny how badly the M3 raped the Macan Turbo...

Re: F8x M3/M4

Once is a SUV and one is a sedan. There will be differences.

Re the CCB, mine is starting to screech. I can't imagine driving with windows down man.

U must do a lot of stop-start driving like me. City driving is not very kind to CCBs. Those things like to be hammered every now and then. Try my wheel cleaner method. It works well for me along with occasional hard braking.

thx for sharing this video, both great cars. The MACAN is a kick arse SUV. It wasn't far off the M3.
