Dun read too much into these tests.

Among the flagship performance tires among the various brands, falken is far behind when compared with the likes Michelin, Bridgestone, Pirelli, etc.
Read or dont read is individual. IMO, test results by neutral entities are always a better guide than any daily road user... remember many road users r just noob and blue like sotong.

Although I uses results by neutral testing entities and 'word of mouth' to make selection, former will always be on top of latter regardless of brand.

Am just providing cents worth of input.

Subjective, if u know where I am coming from. But in general, I agree.

Cn be subjective but I have to second the above notion.... I meant 'third' the above notion.

For me I trust daily road users more than these so called nuetral tests

Good for you, just be sure it is from 'reputable' road users (they r more than daily road users, like many in this forum) as there are daily road users (like many in many forums too) think e.g. super quiet tyres r super good, etc (price is not in equation).

Hi All...

Thank you for the feedback... Not cheap for that the size that I am looking for which is 255/45R20... S$400/tyre ;-P
When rim is big, tyre will be bigger and so is the price :)

For 20", S$400 per tyre is considered cheap, some 18" 245-255 also cost S$400 or more. Check out the better duo grip with improve braking grip/distance and u will know 255/45R20 @ S$400/tyre is cheap.

Statement speaks much about what u'll consider a good tyre.
Also GT & Champiro also branded lor, it has a brand name so it is branded :p

Re: Falken FK453 Tyre Feedback

I used them as I thought what could go wrong and they are Japanese-branded after all.

On a trip to KL, less than 2K km on the tires then, both the rears swelled (and unevenly) as the internal steel walls burst, not sure why but probably a combination of heat/temp, weight (e60+4pax+luggage). I had to change them and got fleeced, but what could I do ... were they over-pressured, I don't think so.

Back to michelins now ... I won't use Falkens ... even if they are free.

Re: Falken FK453 Tyre Feedback

Falken tyre are made in Japan (i think), with the load rating, speed rating and being DOT compliance, i reckon its more likely a lemon. but two lemon in a same car, that really unlucky.

and you didn't bring them back to seek redress?
