Well you could see it as issues.
But I am used to it.
I see it as maintenance than issues. Because I know what will happen and what to look out for and roughly when.
About 4 years once about 40000-50000km
to do a good look over.
Rubber bits shrink and degrade.
We know It is not a family Toyota, and built for sporty drive. Core engine brings superb performance. Power over its Especially the 6 cylinders. Keep it as Long as it makes you smile when you drive.

My friend told me that when you buy a BMW, even brand new, you needed to have the time not just money. As the on board system will prompt every now & then to send in the car for this & that. All this sending in of the car will bring a lot of inconvenience.
No doubt, the car performance is superb and the iDrive 7 is wonderful.

coming from owning a couple of BMW MINIs and an AUDI TT, I've been blessed to have much less frequent visits to workshops for the intent of repair works with this m135i. It used to be every alternate month with the MINIs.
I'm also glad to have been offered and taken up the extended 3 years warranty.
I believe every owner has their own 'luck' but irrespective, it's the experience at the service centers that matter; the turnaround of servicing and repairs. Mine has been acceptable so far, as like most owners have been, I keep chasing them with follow-ups.

i can't say the drive is sporty for the bigger versions such as 5 and 7 series, of course we don't use the M series as a gauge. but definitely score well on comfort level and show-off factor.
