1st step ... go get your wheel balacing done than report back ...

Especially for older cars...engine mounting (bushings) could be worn out.

Check front control arms and tie rods for wear and tear if after wheel balancing problems still persist.

Is it the E46 or E90 having the vibration? I just recalled that my previous E46 had vibrations too and i had engine and gearbox mountings + control arm bush replaced for about $300

Hey rudy, sometime if the shocks are worn, vibrations do happen at high speed. Try to recall if your steering vibrates at speed over a stretch of undulations (less perfect surfaces). Get the workshop to test out your suspension. Hope it helps.

Could be your control arm bushings, wheel bearings on all four wheels? Had similar problems, changed them all at BVO and its fine!
