Good news to those owning the first generation F10 without paddles shift. I have installed a M Sport steering with Paddles Shift and the ECU has been successfully programmed to make it functional.
Interest on the modification please contact 98191432

Hi, original steering wheel without paddle shift and non m-sport. Original airbag does not fit m-sport.

Hi,
I was wondering how hard it is to do the retrofit? Do i need to buy new sport automatic gear shifter as well to make the paddle to work?
Do i also need some additional wirings or programmings for everything to be activated?
Thanks

Re: First Generation F10 without Paddles Shift

Check on the air bag as well ......

Original is not a M-Sport, need to replace a M-Sport steering with airbag and paddles shift.

No need to buy new sport automatic gear. Just need to upgrade the steering wheel with paddles shift thereafter re-program the ECU to make the paddles work.

Re: First Generation F10 without Paddles Shift

Bro,

where can you do the re-programming of the ECU?

Re: First Generation F10 without Paddles Shift

I think depends on the YOM of the car, some of the older models can't program the paddles. I have a 2010YOM car, so I decided not to push my luck and got a non paddle shift wheel.

That said, you can still buy with the paddle shift in the wheel -- just for show only lor.

Mine YOM June 2010 model and has been programmed and upgraded to paddles shift. Those who are interested please SMS me.....98191432 for detail.
