Flood Damage . What to expect ?

Re: Flood Damage . What to expect ?

It may not be a bad idea to have total loss claim...one of my car got flooded near Braddell Road years ago and repaired but encountered so many problems later on.....a lot of things will failed prematurely and I got rid by sellling to a dealer at rock bottom price...

Just got a call from the workshop who says they need to wait for the insurance adjuster to come by and sign off on the repairs before proceeding to open up the engine. He told me they tried to start the engine but it couldn't crank (what a rocket scientist ! If it could crank and start I would need it towed) my electricals are all fine according to the workshop. I am hoping for the best case scenario as well.

huh what crap? Is that PML? Just bring to third party workshop ask them to remove spark plugs and crank the water out, then just replace spark and restart the engine. If it comes to life you are fine, then just get your cat converter checked and other parts checked
