Not in any rides I have seen .....

I missed my pml appt because of a lack of time but while adding mods at Kbs and boss, they both said it was grease to prevent rust. Should be normal, no one else find it in their car?

I have those stains before. When my ride is 3months old. Go to PML check, say glue stain or something like wax.
They say is normal. Anyway, PML clean for me, after 1 year no stain.

PML everything, anything, anyhow will also say "it's normal".

One ws said they saw it in a car boot before and it was because the lead acid battery exploded...

Looks like the grease that we pump into the amphibious vehicle's nipples after each sea training exercise. 72 nipples if I remember correctly for the vehicle. Fresh grease is orangey and thicker. Yours is of the aged cheese variety.

If it was the lead acid battery the paint sure gone case. As long it's on engine oil or coilover leakage should be ok.
Use those blue solution glass cleaners, spray on it and heavy duty tissue to wipe off you should be able to get rid of it easily if you feel it's an eye sore.

Just to share, I found something similar in my new ride recently as well. Glad to know from the discussion here that it is grease and no major cause for concern. Cheers!
