Try avoid stading near the breakdown car....its very dangerous.

RIP to the accident victims... i think most of these accident are unfortunate but could be prevented.

More than often i see when car broke down, the driver would stand by their car waiting for assistance or something. No Hazard Triangle being placed or if there is sometimes a pail or box with 3-4 meters from car.
Just recently I saw one one Uncle sitting by road shoulder replacing tyre with his back to the on coming traffic. Another car was behind the tyre punctured car I supposed it the one coming to help. No triangle or warning for on coming traffic to steer clear..

Good safety practise will be to have emergency triangle or some big objects placed 20 to 30 meters away from car and should stay away from car back and if possible go behind the safety railings. At least those dreaming or distracted drivers would hit the object and brake in time..

Perhaps the one involved here didn't have the chance to do that i supposed..

Yes I second that. I saw those people changing tires back facing the traffic with cars whizzing by just 1 meter away. And it's kinda weird that we don't really have a lot of accidents involving the road shoulders, but when there's a car parked there, they will get hit.

Because of this uncanny attraction of accidents when a car is parked on the shoulder, please stay somewhere out of the tarmac.

especially late in the night.....

That is where RFTs prove to be a life saver.

This is life actually....
Ive ever seen a taxi slammed onto the back of a police car with blinkers on during a road block.

Luckily no one was injured.
