Yo, looking at Royce pic, seems ok to clear. My rotors only 335mm i think. Anyway will drool abt it first before jumping it ! Thanks

Yo Jeremy,

The Ultraleggar definitely one of the lightest rim around for the size. I have it on my car as well but the ET34 instead of the ET40. On ET34, it clear the AP i used to have with like a 15mm gap so I don think it will be a problem for your BBK, however it will be good to give it a check before confirming.

As for the rigidity of the rim, there shouldn't be any concern. I used to be a bit concern given the relatively low load rating on the rim but having covered not less than 20k mileage on the rim, running on track, Cameron and Kuantan and some dirt track daily for my work, i sent my car last saturday for a on-wheel balance and the rim is still running perfectly with absolutely no sign of warp, not even the slightest, so u shouldn't be too worried on the rigidity of this rim.

Cheers.....

Thanks Alan for sharing yr thots on this rim. U mentioned ET34 which is what LS also selling. Any big diff with ET40 ? thats really my concern

Re: FS: OZ Ultraleggera 18''

By right, ET+34 is more suitable for E90 which is obviously quite an aggressive offset for E46 and Z4 (stock 8Js on both cars are +47 for the front ! )...So, coming from E46 BMW stock rims of 8J +47 front, +40 should give you improved handling as it's wider w/o increasing too much of a stress vs a more negative offset, in this case +34.

In addition, lowering your ride further on +40 without excessive -ve camber won't create any rubbing issue.... If u run on +34 on E46 , then MAYBE u need to increase the negativity if u lower much further from your current set up.

FYG, before I got my Prodrive rims...the specs that I wanted for the OZ Ultraleggera were 8*9Js +40 all round . But since the price difference was only 600bux as a set, it's obvious I went for the forged rims.

Re: FS: OZ Ultraleggera 18''

Jeremy,

I think Jack already sum it up for me there. But in my case now, i lower the car to ard 1 finger for the front and there is no rub so it should be ok....

I used to have the RK rims and the offset id 35 and when i put in a 10mm spacer to clear the AP, there is still no rubbing in the front...

And I think the point of consideration here is that, if u ever thought of getting the E90 any soon, then the ET34 will be the one so that the rims can be transferred over wheras the ET40 rims will need a lot of spacers to push it out to the wheel arch.

:)

hi dave.. totally forgot u took the picture when we went to sunway to install the H&R arb..:D

p/s:any update on the rear piece?

Re: FS: OZ Ultraleggera 18''

as the recommended offset for e90 is 34, meaning those driving one wud only need 5-7mm spacers..

as acs rims wud mostly come with 7mm spacers as standard, i wud say the 5-7mm spacers is nothing.. :D

Re: FS: OZ Ultraleggera 18''

wah.. i know the non-m would fit perfectly.. not sure about the m.. anyone can verify this pls?
