Not sure if anyone keen on these mirrors. Bought from a forummer ivanpeh for $250. Got them spray-painted at Yew Lip in black for $70. So my costs is $320 before installation. Then decided to go for replica M5 mirrors to keep the M theme for my car. So I am selling these replica AC mirrors off for $99 since they are of no use in my store room. The installer will have to make use of the motors from your existing e39 mirrors. Expect installation to costs $80. Anybody keen to experiment pls sms me at 96868202 or e-mail me at [email protected]

Hi there,

Im interested in the mirrors...but just need to ask a few questions.

1. What is it made of? Im guessing fibreglass...is both the mirror housing AND the base plate f/glass? Is the quality good?
2. What is fitment like? does the housing connect to the base plate perfectly?
3. What is the condition like?
4. Does the mirror have blue tinted glass, or just normal glass?
5. I can just use standard motor right?

(Sorry for all the q's :p)

I have an E36...and if i buy them, i will be getting them retrofitted to go on my car...hopefully it wont be too hard :p

BTW, i live in Australia...are you willing to post here? If so, how much would it cost? Otherwise, i MAY be able to organise my relatives over there to pick it up.

Sorry Dan but I have not fitted them, so can't answer all the qns. I bought them new and they are shiny black coz never installed. Probably made of fibre-glass. Quality is subjective. They look perfectly ok to me. Fitment I wldn't know especially when yours is an e36 whereas mine is an e39 and the seller told me it wld fit my ride. I can't guarantee fitment. Normal glass.

Seriously, too risky for u to buy from downunder coz too much logistics if they eventually don't fit. As such, I wld prefer to sell to a local buyer. Thanks for your interest.

Its alright...im not expecting them to fit...i know for a fact that they wont :)

I plan on getting the base either re-made or just modified to fit my car (i have a workshop who can do this sortta work..)

If your not willing to ship to Australia, i understand....its just that these are much cheaper than i could get any E36 ones...so it would be worth it to buy them, ship them, and modify them to fit my car..

Unless of course u know who i can by ACS replica mirrors for E36? :D

U can probably get them from ebay? Not sure abt the price though coz I am selling mine at major loss. If u are prepared to do an e/transfer of funds and pay for shipping to me, I can mail to u. But u have to bear the risk of damage during shipping as these items are fragile. Perhaps u can e-mail me at polozoe@gmail so that we dun take up space in the forum with our discussion. Thanks.

Hmm....i spoke to my workshop about this earlier today...it seems that modifying the base plate will cost a little more than i expected (still reasonable, but not how much i want to spend)..

So i guess i will give these a miss :(

Anyone with a 5 series, this is SUCH a bargain!!!

BTW, i checked ebay, but no luck :( Cant seem to find replica ACS E36 mirrors ANYWHERE :(

How much did u get ur M5 replica mirrors? Any pics of them on ur ride?

Sorry no photos but I will be at the meet-up this Sun if u wanna see it. Got my replica M5 mirrors from BVO (tel: 64551566). Comes with the folding module so the mirrors will fold. Pls ask BVO for pricing.

Note: Replica M5 mirrors typically have blue tint, whereas original M5 mirrors do not have the blue tint.
