Been driving my e65 since Sep last year. Fuel consumption as indicated has been 7.6km/L. That's my mixed urban / highway driving routine. When I track on per trip basis, on highways I get easily 8-8.5km/L. There is also slight difference in SG (shell) 98 vs JB (shell) V-power 97. Obviously v-pwr 97 fetched better mileage, and you pay 40% $ less...

don't think there's any good FC 3L block around..........plus 7 Series is a big car....

Bro, I used to drive an E65 730i - short wheelbase, from Dec 2008 to Dec 2011. mainly city driving (90%), and averaged about 7.3 to 7.5km/l.

My present F02 730Li is obviously a longer and heavier car - only does about 6.8km/l.

Both cars only took V-power

Strangely, and impressively, here's the consumption of my other 3L engine-powered car:

9.1km/l. I've never been able to sustain that on the F02 or E65 in the past, but the F13 is a totally different animal altogether!

My E66 is doing 6.9km/l. Previously, my Lexus GS300 did between 12-15km/l hence am quite shocked by the E66.

E65 - about 7.2 km / L, but I am mainly doing highway driving. Doesnt really matter if you use 95, 98 or V power.... except that pickup is smoother on 98 and V power.

My E66 does on average 7.9km/l when I drive smoothly. Otherwise can go down to 5.8km/l when trying to follow my friend in his 535GT.

Bro wobbles... I presume this is on Eco pro mode to obtain 9.1km/L. What happens when u drive in normal or comfort mode? However if 9.1 km/L is obtained under normal mode then I must say you da man! How you do it? I try my best to be light footed and I only managed 7.2Km/L on my F12.. Maybe F12 heavier car cos it is a convertible?

Bro omshks, yah, for the 1st 1000km, I was exerting iron-willed discipline and superb self control.. Eco-Pro all the way, temp at 25C. The subsequent 1000km, I did on Comfort Mode (OK, occasionally Sports and Sports+ at LCK), and the consumption is now at 8.4km/L

Still WAAAY better than my F02, which, thanks to wifey's plodding has dropped down to 5.9km/L only. Sigh.

Both cars are on V-power since day 1.

My E66 consumes between 7.4-7.8km/l.

If you are using the gauge for the l/km, I think you need to reset to zero for the kmh and l/km to find out the 'actual' km/l. I guess the computer will take the average km/h (include start/stop) to calculate the l/km.

BMW's FC meter is among the most accurate compared to all the other brands I have owned or driven before. The meter hasn't deviated more than 0.2km/l from all my manual FC calculations.

Mine (E65 - 2008) did about 6.4km/litre. Known problems are Parking brake fault and steering wheel sensor, other than that the ride is ok
