Fuel consumption for E39

Think quite normal, my E39 2.2L going at about 12L/100km in 50% city/50% highway. 90% highway can get 9L/100km. :wavey:

Bro, your FC is already very good given the fact that the e39 is not a small car. I am getting anything between 14l/100km to 15l/100km for a 525. Determinants of FC include how much city vs highway driving one is doing, and the mods put into the car such as larger rims/tyres etc.

All of your rides had better FC than mine (525). I am currently at 17L/100km due to very little highway driving (5-10%).

I personally think your FC is acceptable and makes sense. My 1-month old 318i valvetronic is about 11.2 litres / 100km.

Hey! That's pretty good, I'm getting between 12.6 to 13.2L/100km with about 50% Highway-50% City use

That's probably because the engine hasn't really yet settle down, give it a couple of thousand clicks more and you should see some improvement

I felt that my FC is going much higher recently..about 15.85L/km..What should i do?

Btwn, my car is e39 523i with 245/40ZR18 tires.
