I have indicated to SA that I need transportation during downtime if I place my new car there and they offered me without hesitation. However, he only concern is that I have to queue for the courtesy car which they claimed currently fully booked not until late Sept or early Oct...

Said that there is no safety issue with the car so not to worry too much...they better be sure about this...otherwise, if anything happen to me or my family while driving...they better pray hard I will come after them and HAUNT them!!! :twisted:

thats the thing, they never have a car ready on standby. if i have to change my schedule to suit them, then its pointless

i spoke to my SA perviously and she mentioned that there are 2 instances whereby they provide loan cars:

1. for new cars (few months old) with warranty issue;
2. for problematic customers and cars ie those customer who complain excessively and those cars which always have problems.

Two days ago I had an issue while reversing my car, there were loud crucking sound coming from the front portion (maybe bonnet) when I was reversing the car. I had my car sent to PML workshop and they could not found anything wrong with the car. I drove it back and all was fine till last night, it happen again. Anyone has the same issue ? Anyone know the cause of this ?

BTW, the car model is 318i and about 3 months old.

omg sounds serious, like something related to the auto tranny or drivetrain... better get it checked

jia lak leh... why bmw 318i new cars like that huh? Just collect my 318i too last week.... hopefully not too much problem. However, got the dong dong dong sound with the car rear door not closed light lighted up on the OBC on the very first day after I collected my car. Stopped and closed my doors many times still got the iritating dong dong dong sound with interior flashing lights. In the end can't tahan so called my SE and then advised to come out of my car, locked it for 1 min, then unlocked again. Apparently the problem was solved. She said it's probably due to the resetting problems. WTH! if everytime like that the I would be very busy getting in and out of my car leh.

still observing closely for any funny things, so far still ok except for some creaking sound from the driver's seat or door.. unsure where it came from. Have to make do with it. no choice lah. Will try out the cruise control and manual mode soon. I told my SE right in her face that I am satisfied with her service but definitely not the car. I have much higher expectations on BMWs (regardless of which series) but apparently I am disappointed.

bmw + "funny" problem comes as a full package.

creaking sound go look under the thread on creaks and cracks in cabin. i solved mine by applying a light coat of talcum powder on the hard rubber running along the top of the doors.
