Gearbox problem of 2007 E90??

Hi all, I have gotten a 2007 2nd hand E90 about 1.5 months back and recently I noticed that there is a slight sudden jerk during the 1st and 2nd gear change. Subsequent gear change is smooth without jerk.

Is this normal or is there something wrong with the gear box?

This is normal, but if you are able to get someone to reset the gearbox then the jerk would be eliminated. The jerk would usually come back awhile after the reset though.

Not normal. Look for Rodney..

I have a 07 320i ,having same jerking problem,stop with drive gear engage there will be a sudden jerk...and also jerk or slip during acceleration between 2nd to 3rd gear,,
Is it a transmission problem.?

Mine happens only when starting off..like a manual car changing gear... not smooth until 3rd gear onwards. Any experts can advise what the problem is?

got my ATF changed and gearbox software reset recent. jerks are gone now.

Do u mean that at stationary while the car is iding then the rpm went up & down? Not consistent?

no it's when u feel a tug like someone shoving you from behind, nothing to do with the engine
