Hi to all,

Bought a 323i Highline sometime in Feb 08. Been enjoying the car ever since.

But at the same time, also have to face various common issues with the car, like the moldy smell from the aircond upon starting the engine. Have tried the various method suggested in the forum but have yet been successful.

Also, the auto-trans proved to be iffy in the beginning (it liked to maintain at the higher gear when you lift off you feet, such that when you need to accelerate off thereafter, its lethargic for a few seconds while it decides to shift down :screwedu:). Had the car brought in and its firmware upgraded (took 2 days for that ), and the auto-trans proved to be much better now..... but still not at the level expected.

And the aircond generate a clicking sound (click, click, click.....) everytime the auto function requires the flow to shift down to the foot well area. Still no resolution there as I could not replicate the issue when I brought the car in for service.

Anyway, just wanted to share something I got from the web regarding puddle lights for the E90 which is on the door handle, and also seems to be on the side mirror as well from thr reflection off the car's body. View attachment 18162

Not sure whether can this retrofitting into our local e90. What do you all think?

Hi there, welcome.....I got a 323i myself too, just last month. The lights you mentioned is available in my bro's 320i Highline, think it was called the lights package. So maybe you can check with PML if can be installed in yours.

Cheers, :)

Re: Greetings from a newbie

Starwars fan indeed, but not after Episode I, II and III :furious:. Hopefully with the new Star Wars Clone Wars animated movie coming up, it could restore some of my interest in the universe far far away.....

And back on Earth....so this is what they call, the Lights Package. Mmmm.... interesting. Now who in Performance Motor has decided not to install them in all the cars?:screwedu:

I would think that it is a must have item IMHO :)

By the way, just to share my experience with the Run Flat tyres. Had two punctures already so far. One on the right front tyre, and the other on the right rear tyre (you see, I work on the western edges on the island and lots of construstion work around here).

For both instances, had no choice but to have them patch them up using the "punch through the puncture with a big needle, and seal it with some rubber stuff" method.

I requested them to remove the tyre and patch them from inside, but received the same answer both times, that " they do not know how to remove a run flat tyre".

Question, is it realy that different?
