ECU tune is basically to tune your car more responsive from stock..........

something like re-flash the setting over the stock ECU..........

Re: Greetings to everyone

My car ran over something in AYE last Sat night -- not sure if it's a pothole or an object. I saw a black patch on the road indicating that some work has been done to patch it up. But anyway, my front right tyre was busted. So, I drove to the nearest petrol kiosk trying to pump some air with no luck. The good thing I was nearby home...so I just drove my car home with a flat tyre. BTW, I am using Breyton GTP 19", staggered with Yoko tyres.

Amazingly, the rim wasn't get damaged at all after reaching home. Only the flat tyre indicator went off on the dashboard.

So, I arranged for a towing service on Sunday, and I learned my first lesson as a newbie. Don't just google for a towing service in Singapore. You WILL be better off by getting a towing service that someone you know recommend to use.

Given that my front tyre is the one that is flat, the towing service swapped between the front and rear tyres so that they can tow the car by lifting the back side of the car. I didn't know better that these tyres can't be swapped because the rear tyre is bigger/wider than the front.

Anyway, the bloody towing guy doesn't realize this after towing the car for about 10 minutes...seeing smokes coming out from the car. Then, he decided to lift whole the car up to continue the journey. He should have done this from the beginning. :screwedu::shoot:

So, by the time we get to the destination, I found out that 1) the rear rim and the tyre that was swapped to the front was totally damaged; 2) 2 other rims are scratched (quite deep) because of the friction with the metal fork that they use to lift the car.

The sad news is: these rims are less than 1 month old. The good news is there is no damage on the car.

No choice, I have to buy a new set of rims and 2 new tyres.

Lesson learn: 1) use only realiable towing service; 2) if you are on staggered setup, they are not swappable.

Here are some photos of the damaged rims:

The one that is kenna the fork:

The one that is totally damaged (see the white shiny circular thing as a result of the rim rubbing the suspension):

You do have my empathy for your 'encounter"... 1st the flat tyre, then the inexperience towing service you had!! they should have towed your car like 4WD car.
anyway, Nice RIMS!!
