This is called HOPE reporting.

Re: He earns S$8000 a month selling hot dogs......

When there is HOPE, there is Life. When there is Life, there is HOPE.

My teachers taught me always be hopeful.

Only that sometimes, I am hopelessly hopeful.

Campus business is a gold mine ..... Rental is ultra low and student employees are paid by the hour. Buns and the sausages have low material costs.

only during term holidays that business is bad.

It's that time of the year when O-Level results are about to be released that you'll have to take any news related to Poly and ITE with a large amount of salt.

its $8k in sales revenue, not profit per partner. IMO, bad business return leh, considering the costs involved with materials, staff, and of course, his own time spent everyday.

but, would be really good experience for him in F&B business operations management.

you familiar with campus costs ?

nope, but when I consider the following:
- 3 partners involved
- 15 employees
- rental at $500 -> ~$2/hr
- operating hours - 10hrs per day, approx 220hrs per month
- assuming min 3 staff operating at all times -> at least 660 man-hours per month
- sales per operating hour ~$36-$40
- assuming $5/hr for labour -> at least $15/hr for manpower
- assumed total cost per hour before materials (rental + labour) - ~$17-$20?
- Sales of (max) 150 sandwiches per day => 15 sandwiches per hr = costs?
- Utilities costs?

My guess is - this business is either barely breaking even or small profit. during those school breaks, highly likely they will be making losses.

not a business I want to be in.
