Headlights not off under auto mode.

For the past two days, I notice my bimmer's headlight remains on even under bright daylight with auto light mode.

Have anyone encountered this before?

Is there anything I can self check before going to workshop for fixing?

Re: Headlights not off under auto mode.

I have encountered this before, sometimes the connection to the daylight sensor behind the rear-view mirror becomes loose.
You can just wiggle and split the plastic holder of the rear-view mirror into two, then see if any wiring is loose. If so just plug it back it. Should do the trick!

Saved yourself some money by resolving this issue yourself ...... nothing like the satisfaction of solving your car's problem .......

U can set this with your iDrive. I think its the sunlight icon and you change it to off. Then the autoheadlights will not be switched on under sunlight.

Darn, you mean that it was on your windshield on this while lol

But good problem is resolved.

Mine sometimes doesn't switch off by itself but very occasionally so I turn it off manually.
