Headlights woes

Need help on these. Just got myself a 1999 e46 318i.
old owner had a HID fixed with ballast.
I wanted to change bck to original or maybe something the Inspection centre would passed it.
The problem is,
1) what is that thing called to hold the bulb assembly.
2) where do I get those headlights "plugs"(its been cut off)
3) if there is aftermarket headlights same like ori, can anyone advise me?
