Hi guys.... My name is kenny....
Malaysian but Singapore PR...... but currently working in London.... hahahah..... its complicated.
Absolutely love cars....
I've not owned any BMW before..... and am seriously considering......
cars I have owned previously....
1st car in Malaysia was a proton WIRA 1.6A!!! hahahha.... Although it was crap, had fond memories of it cos it was freedom after getting my license.
Then when I was studying in Australia, I had a small tiny Toyota Echo/Yaris 1.3M. Super light and efficient.... but it was very very unstable..... especially in the country with strong crosswinds... hahahaha.... whenever a large truck drove pass, i could feel my car wobbling!
Then when I started working, my first car was a used VW beetle 2.0L A Year 2001. Full bodykit, lowered. Used it for 3 years...... and it was my wedding car.... Nice photos from it..... but it was a nightmare..... Gave me lots of problems....... power windows, door panels peeling, alarm, aircon, cooling fan..... sigh.....
Bought a Mitsubishi Airtrek Turbo in 2005..... gave me NO problems what so ever...... powerful but thirsty and doesn't corner very well.... Brakes suck too.....
My current cars are:
1) 2008 VW golf MKV GTI. Stage 1 Oettinger and lots of oettinger stuff. Love the drive and handling....... very zippy and responsive. Lots of mods to play..... and very well equipped. But VW service sucks big time.... and as with my previous VW experience, there are irritating things..... eg. rubber seal of door keeps dropping out despite fixing/changing twice, footwell panel keeps falling off, funny lights come on the dash and when bring to VW, they say nothing wrong.....
Thinking of selling this car soon.....
2) 2011 Lexus RX 270.... this is my family car.... needed a big ass car to bring the 2 monster sons around w 2 car seats and the maid sitting in the middle. Why Lexus? well, wanted a SUV rather than MPV, and it was the most bang for your buck - space, luxury, equipment, reliability. Only gripe i have about it is it's a bit underpowered... rolls when cornering, and my white/grey leather seats gets dirty easily especially when I've got 2 monster dirty boys.
3) 2011 Mercedes E250 Sport CDI 7G-tronic in London now. In London just for work for 1 year..... Bought this used here. Damn cheap..... Ex mercedes demo car.... Navigation, full AMG kit, AMG suspension ect..... low millage only for 23K pounds! hahaha... that SGD 46K. Cant even buy a vios with that now in Sg. Needed a big car cos my wife and 2 sons are coming over to London soon.
Really wanted a F10 5 series here..... but after comparing prices, spec, equipment, insurance, and value for money..... the merc seem like a better buy although i preferred the BMW.
Oh well..... only going to keep car for 1 year anyway.....
