Hello Guys!

Just pay a deposit for 2ndhand 320i XL but mileage is like 140k (Year 2009 car)..:yikess:

Any advise from the pros here on how to make sure things are well before take over? Ex owner changed gasket/batt, brake pads etc at PML. STA inspection report Grade B, but how to ensure its accident free, no leakage and what will be the common problems etc?

Since no depreciation was mentioned, we shall be nice and friendly.

Get the ride properly inspected by a BMW specialist workshop. The best ones are here in this forum as our site sponsor workshops, like R2D, Boss, etc. You can find them here...

The inspection should reveal a whole list of issues, ask the dealer to rectify it (even 50/50). Or better still knock it off the price and get it fixed properly by the site sponsor workshops themselves (I will never trust a dealer's workshop, no matter how big they are, cos they f'ked my ride real bad in the past).

Hi Sean,

Depreciation is about 12k+ per year.

Optima cover 2 years warranty for my car., maybe I'll request SE for 1 more year warranty to make it 3 years and bring down for a 100% inspection before collecting.

It's ok this way?

No no.... I was only kidding about the depreciation. That, and FC, are taboo words in this forum.

Are you getting the ride from Optima? Btw, they are one of our site sponsor workshops. Hearsay the boss very handsome... Lol

Really worried on the high mileage part but its a good buy with 12k + depreciation only. hehe
