Hello should I get 318 or 320

Contemplating between the 2 for a 2009 model. Just join forum to seek for past experience. Any issues with these 2 cars from owners? Initially thought of VW but joined the forum and saw the gear box issue and decided to go for BMW

Hello should I get 318 or 320

I drove both 318i and 320i before. The 318i generally (not all) has better lifestyle specs eg sunroof, memory seats, auto side mirrors, etc. but the 320i has a smoother and more powerful drive (though both are the same engine?). For me, the deal breaker was the 320i's bixenon headlights.... Slurp.....

Anyway do your maths, get a good one and save money for mods - exhaust, BBK, etc. or even a Z4.....

should be 320i unless is those last last batch of LCI 318i.....

Anyway, thanks for the welcome and inputs on the difference between the 2. Looks like 320 is better since there is xenon lights and real leather seats and a smoother engine.
I did some homework looking through forum and found that E90 have oil leak issues. Did you guys faced that?

The e90 leaks all over ...... Unavoidable. From internal seals, engine gaskets, oil filter housing.

Gearbox needs servicing as well. And the bushings and mounts. And the usual PCVs and radiator hoses. The water pump and a bunch of sensors also.

Usually, you can see what is gone or going with the sensors when the diagnostic tool is hooked up to the car ......

My E90 servicing blog:

2009 - collection of new car
2010 - 1st oil change ($300+)
2011 - 2nd oil change ($300+)
2012 - 3rd oil change ($300+)
2013 - 4th oil change, run flat tyres, water pump & termostat ($4000+)
2014 - akan datang ($$$)

Actually my experiences with BMWs are better than my previous J/KDMs to be honest. Just get a solid workshop, car will be problem free. My rides were all sheer pleasure after I found my workshop.

Ktnpl u change oil once per year only? That's even less than my current jap. Haha. I assume u did not face the oil leak issue?
