Yes. I have told the dealer I will send the car for a check with one of the sponsor website workshop before commit. Will only purchase it if the ride is ok. Else they need to repair or I give a pass. Have read on some forums the nightmare when purchase a " lemon" car.
I was thinking sending it to R2D to rectify although is further away from my place(east side). Have you try them before or any other workshop to recommend?

I believe normal wear and tear shouldn't be a big issue. The nightmare will be major problem like gear, engine etc. Care to share what should I take note.

Good luck getting your new ride! You mentioned pre-owned, so do check the condition of the car properly. Before you finalise the deal, ask the dealer if they can send the vehicle to any one of our sponsor workshops (arrange with them first of course) to assess the vehicle. Then you can work out with the dealer to rectify any problems before they hand over the vehicle to you. I didn't do this and had to fix a few issues at my own cost.

Well done. Just curious, did you find all these info yourself by looking around in the forum (e.g.site sponsor info) or did u ask someone?

Btw R2D is good, don't worry. But u have to get an appointment first by calling the main line which will then be transfer to a pretty voice.

We aren't allowed in the forums to recommend specific workshops. But all I can say is good job on the reading up...

Just wear and tear items but even then those could have been avoided. After all, a bimmer is a bimmer and parts may cost more than Korean or Jap OEM parts.
