Hi guys,
I am eyeing a 2006 E60 523. Viewed the car already, my fave combi black on grey interior. Interior good for 6+ years car. Oct 2006 car. Mileage ~108k km.
I tried calling PML to check last service record to verify the mileage, but was told cannot disclose. Then the dealer said he can check for me since they got buyers stationed at PML. Within 10 mins he called back and said his buyer checked and the last service at PML was last April @ 92k km.
Can I believe the dealer? How to prove it? Is there anyway to check with PML by myself?

Bought my car 4 months back with mileage @ 70k km. ask dealer when was last service and he said at PML @ 68k km. 3 months later and brake pad making noise, so decided to send for service at an AD and change all brake pads and discs. Asked the AD to check when was last service and was told 23k km ago, i.e. @ 47k km. Lesson learnt was not to believe the dealer.

No harm trying. Can ask them before you send it in for inspection. If I am not wrong, the info are all stored in the key and they can read from it using some software stuff.

At least you know your mileage is accurate and not tampered with. Imagine if you were told that the last service was at 150k km!
By the way, for your info, the "recommended" factory oil change interval is presently about every 15,000 miles. This should work out to 24,000 kms.
Conclusion - your car is steady, but your dealer is not!

Just viewed a 2006 E60 523i during weekend. Dealer offered me a good price, annual depre is 9.5k. Mileage 120k km, 3 owners.
Dealer claimed good condition, checked by their workshop, blah blah blah, of cos i won't buy that.
I am thinking to send to PML for pre-purchase inspection. Any bros done that b4? Does it inspect the car from head to toe?
Appreciate your inputs.
