I am looking to purchase a used 520 or 523 model around the age of 4-5 years old. Anyone able to advice which model is better and what are the typical repair/maintenance cost that I need to be aware of?

every BMW model is a Good model.....

both car are alright as they are different in engine: 2L 4cyc turbo vs 2.5L 6cyc NA...

for SG road my feel is go with the 520i..........just check the history of the car before you make the purchase. Mileage and service history ...can just bring to any of our site sponsor workshop for this check..
