Help: Annoying 'soft-stop' braking mechanism

Re: Help: Annoying 'soft-stop' braking mechanism

No it will not. Previously the ONLY worry was that there were rumours that in neutral the transmission fluid does not flow, but since then it has been found that the only engine with this anomaly is the Mitsubishi V6 engine.

You save fuel too as the engine does not have to work the torque converter.

Do the correct thing. Shift to neutral before you come to a stop. Yes, even for autos. That way you don't have to step on the brake during the stop, and that destroys the rotors as the pads continually in contact even if the rotors are only slightly hot.

Doesn't that shorten the lifespan of the autobox?
