Yes, I admit, I am active. Kentonna is passive. So all happi now?

Talk in front of you we were doing. Not behind your back.

As for your suggested maneuver, refer to MW and/or Rodders.

Louis: the other benefit of the car cover is to protect against dust and UV rays......

hi brudder,

Behind one's back - doesn't this imply the front ??? heheheh :laughlik:

depends on whether the back is facing the front or facing the back of the front right?

Re: HELP!!!! cats!!!

Just to revisit this thread... lately, I've noticed lots of what I think is cat hair on my soft-top. Apparently, some stray cat has been keeping itself comfy on my car's soft-top. What can I do? Don't wanna hurt them, just wanna keep them off my car before they cause any damage.

Are the cat repellents sold in pet shops any good? If so, anyone knows where I can get them?

Thanks in advance!

How are you? Long time no see you liao. I miss TCSS with you.

Yes, we have covered this topic before. Happily, I don't have this problem of cats sleeping on my softtop anymore.

Cat repellents do work. That is what I used until somehow the cat that was sleepin on my softtop just suddenly dissapeared.

But as I said before, one method which I think would be highly effective is the one I learnt through observation of a National Geographic (or was it Animal Planet) documentary.

In that documentary, the farmers in an African village were having persistent intrusions from gazelles that ate their crops. They tried many methods of scaring away the gazelles but they did not work. Finally, they came up with an ingenious method by spreading lion dung around the perimeter of their crop field. The smell of the lion dung tricked the gazelles into thinking that lions were around and so they stayed away.

So, if you spread some dog shit (kow sai) on the softtop, this will cause the cats into thinking that dogs are around and since cats don't like dogs, the cats will stay away.

I never had the chance to test this out. It would be good if someone here can try and then do a field report.

Ta Ge, hope to see you soon .

I am also leaving in an estate where some kind soul has been feeding the stray cats almost everynite. In fact, i always bump into this kind soul when i walk my dogs in the evenings....

enuff said, There were several ocassions when the cats slept on my ride and scratched my bonnet ....somehow cats seem to like black rides... anyway, being a dog lover, i kinda understand the implications if the strays are handed to SPCA... so i learned to live and let live.....

Fact is, i too love my ride!! but the problem is the cats just don't understand and will never do...so we cant blame them right?

Anyway, Mixmaster, i really don't recommend smearing our cars with dog feaces..... u may get rid of the cats but wat makes u think the rats and roaches wont come? hahahahahah....

STOP THE CULLING, IT'S THEIR WORLD TOO....
