I've use many type of engine oil , don't have engine oil consumption issue because i change oil every 5k mileage.

Recently using motul 300v 5w40, found my obc showing 3 bar less after 3k mileage. I have no oil leak issue , no white/black/blue smoke from exhaust , also normal exhaust fumes.

What's is your car mileage now and age?

Have you change the valve seals or oil separator before?

It's usually one of the two suspects above if you don't have physical oil leaks detected.

7 years old with 125k mileage.
Valve cover gasket replaced when i bought it 1.5years ago under table bang lemon law.

Sensor never replace , i am wondering does it evaporate due to engine oil itself or. . . . .. will keep observing it.

Bmw does acknowledge that burning 1L every 5k is within normal specs for its engine so maybe you want to observe a while more.

It may still be the valve seals as it's a known wear and tear item on bmw engines esp ar 100k / 5yo.

You can get someone to rev the engine while you stand behind and watch for any white plume of smoke. But do this after engine is warmed up, at least 10-15min drive or 30min idle.

I try liao, no smoke at all, but i love my remus roar.

No smoke is good so not valve seals problem.

Change back to earlier type of engine oil before this oil loss problem.

Or try Castrol German formula, good EO to use in bmw engines.

I will use back pennzoil next time. My friend use fk massimo was start to spitting on 3rd week.

Canuck is right, can't go wrong with German Castrol. I was on almost every Pennzoil before...
