How can be it 10k.....I suspect it can be done in under 5k.
Assuming you source the parts yourself.
Overhaul auto gear box, [what type of overhaul? Ok lets say change those so called clutch plates, solenoids, reprogramming, etc...maybe $2k max?]
Replace valve body.[Heard from bro a valvebody for a 320i is only around $1.9k. Not sure for 335]
Servicing. [what servicing? Engine Oil? $250. if DIY, maybe $125(half) ]
Wiper water spray motor [should be $200 max?]
Glove compartment lock [dunno. Maybe $50 for labour?]
Front suspension arm, [both left and right? Maybe $300 parts]
Coolant hoses, [should be around $200 for the 3 key hoses linked to coolant reservoirs]
Computer wheel alignment [$50 -60]
So add in the appropriate labour. $5k definitely doable if you procure the parts yourself andf be a bit more adventurous.

Oh dear.. What a noob.. Went to them due to some jerking issues, gear jammed at second or forth most of the time and need to restart for it to function normally.. Was told to do a overhaul but due to time constraints was recommended to do megatronics. However now they actually had time to do gear box overhaul. Not sure what it means and what it includes though. Reputable workshop within this forum. Hmmm.. Asking for 6 months warranty.. Cannot do anything else since I udnerstand that work had been underway..

335 N54/55 engine using Engine Oil 5W-50?
Anyway that's why I have also learnt that EO needs to be changed regularly, and not follow the stupid OBC or stick to some 10k km intervals.

Seems that item 10 is a bit higher than normal. A full gearbox rebuild with original BMW rebuild kit should be around +/- $5k all in if done in Sg and anything from 2-4 days.
I had the same issue on my 335 gearbox last week. Kept hanging at gear 3-4 and couldn't change gear till I restart my car.
the yellow sprocket transmission fault light came on. My guess is it is a fail/safe limp mode to prevent further damage as I'm still able to drive lightly around and run my errants until I had it checked out thoroughly.
I decided to rebuild it as I still have over 4 yrs to go on my ride. Better do it now than later to get more 'mileage' out of the rebuilt gearbox.
6 mths warranty of the gearbox is quite standard when you do a rebuild.
