Just take it easy first few kms by changing gears earlier if via sports/manual mode or use D2-D3 via drivelogic. After running in then start engaging "M botton" on steering wheel more often with D5 or S5 setting

Follow the run in instructions Lo.: the V8 had it.. Maybe inline 6 don't have..

Factory instructions won't go wrong

Vary the rpm. I just had to run in a replacement engine in my F10 M5 as the previous engine died after consuming 1 litre of oil every 800km. This time the run in was don't thrash the engine but don't drive it at Low rpm. Instead vary the rpm range throughout but don't use engine braking. After the first 5000km I was good to push it harder. Consumes oil beautifully now only every 5000km which is brilliant on an F10 M5.

For the Inline 6. For the first 2000km keep rpm below 5500. And dun go above 170km/h. To the 5000km mark. Can gradually up the speed to 220km/h
