the 320 is a 4 potter which makes it more punchy off the blocks, but give it a little more distance am sure the 325 will smoke it.

Welclome..if not wrong, the larger displacement should have more advantage as the speed and distance increases..

Cheers

Re: hi

Thanks folks...very true that the 325 has more grunt on the expressways...but in singapore's stop and go driving...the heavier feel perhaps has induced a heavier foot by me..leading to poorer consumption numbers...is 8.6km/l normal for a 325?

Try the 335 ;) ! The six cylinder engines sound so much more civilised. Once you drive a BMW straight six, you can never consider a four cylinder ever again.

Sounds right for city driving. I'm getting 15 to 17 l/100 km (5.9 to 6.7 km/l) on a 335 (city).

Re: hi

I agree with Jiunn Siong, go with 6 cylinders, you won't regret it! ;D Then again, it might be my biased opinion too :nutkick:

Agreed. Last time i race with slater's 325 in car park, I win. Once out of car park on open road, I can only smell his exhaust
ok la, i just bullshiting.
325 confirmed more poderful, so jsuede hope you just enjoy your ride.

When I drive my wife's 325, I get around 8 to 9km/l.

When she drives it, she gets more than 10km/l... I have seen 11km/l from her!

Re: hi

hi Breyton, your wife is very impressive..there was a period when i was in ICT and was driving on expressway for the week from east to west on ecp and back and couldnt do more than 9km/l for that week...maybe its cos running at above speed limit most of the time in the early mornings...

Any folks have any ideas what i can do to make my ride less 'stock" without blowing the piggy bank? ...

Re: hi

I'm getting 6-7km/l on my 1st tank for my 318i, is dat considered normal till it's 'run-in'? Right leg is oredi very restrained, not higher than 3k rev.

Well, performance wise, get a good CAI, Exhaust and a reflash perhaps?

Hmm how big is the piggy bank? :) If I were you, maybe I'd start with a reflash or ECU upgrade of some sort, would expect more than 30HP increase tho :)
Oh oh! Throttle booster for an extra punch? No HP increase tho. haha.

Aesthetic wise, some cheaper mods you can do is an Aero lip, probably a spoiler and some CF mirror covers or splitters! Bigger budget then maybe do M-Tech all round or another kind of kit? There are many available out there on the market! :D

Cheers and good lucK!:woottt:

Happy Driving!
