need a bit of on a situation for a good friend's 335i e93.

abs warning light turn on suddenly while driving about 40km/hr. all 3 warning lights were on. went to workshop but their test box can't detect fault. so workshop advise try change abs pump and cost $5k. is this the standard price to pay? and also wondering if its really the faulty abs or just a faulty sensor?

appreciate information please?

Noticed the temperature gauge to be quite high at 120degrees n the car isnt moving...correct me if I'm wrong but it should be ard 90-100degrees usually?
