Was just on my way home from an appointment in Yishun. Driving back to the east via SLE/TPE/ECP...

At the junction (as I was coming down from TPE) of TPE/PIE before the ECP, a MarkX came from behind and overtook me, probably over 120kmh... I was going about 110kmh....

Anyway, as we approached the turn off (left to Changi Airport and right to the city), there was a little congestion as traffic slowed down for the corner. The MarkX was on the left land and I was behind him... on the right side of me was a Sunny (I think).... I overtook the Sunny near the apex of the corner and speed off leaving the MarkX behind.... Of course when the MarkX saw me take off, he was on my tail but I think the handling of his car was not as good as say, a BMW....

So, exited the bend quite a distance from him... Of course by this point, he accelerated hard, overtaking me in the process and swerving in and out of traffic to go 'faster'.... let him be.... I was just cruising and then saw him on my right. Two guys in the car, probably the driver showing his friend how fast the MarkX is or both of them are gay... draw your own conclusions.....

And it stuck me at the time, ho2768 would have been proud..... hahaha

No la, I was not racing... just leisurely cruising back home cause I had a long day... but the korner, well, the BMW can hold its own.....

This happens everyday and it just so happen that it was a MarkX again.

Experienced the exact same situation before but it was a Golf GTi.....

You have no idea how many times I kenna poked by Golf GTi already......

everymorning taking cab to school,i see so many nice MarkX..those cars looks good for changing rims..any rims also look nice on them..the hotstuff mag also shows a white V.I.P MarkX..20"..bling bling man..
MarkX is nice cars..and i think the drivers are good too..cos i have never seen any markX trying to showoff or anything..or maybe early morning no one bother to play..

I only play with smal small 2 door Getz "GTI"s who somehow always like to play with me. Especially those with windows down and ciggy in flacid hand dangling outside.

Sorry Guys. So happen that the posting for Mark X and Beemer Episode is up again.
By far, nobody from our group is the culprit.
I hope that this will not further worsen the misunderstanding.
Faster and Stable in a Corner is very subjective.. I will not elaborate further.
But I hope that is just an one off issue pertaining to that Driver who happens to drive a Mark X.
Singapore Mark X Club has no intention to get involved in any drama that may evolve from this posting.
As much as BMW Forum has their support, So does Mark X Club in Singapore.
Flame me if there's a Need but I regard BMW Forum members here as a more stable group of people.
Kindly understand where we are coming from.
Will update if that Driver happens to be from our member list. And even if it's so... Kindly take it with a pinch of salt.
Over taking , Poking, Zooming in and out ... Who win, Who lose... More than often depends on the Driver. It just happened .... Owner drives a Mark X that trigger member here to create a posting. I am sure Mark X Forum can create tons of equivalent postings but we do not have the interest.
But we have to enjoy peace and fellowship with Owners from other club as well.
Seeking understanding from BMW Forum.

Mark X or BMW we are sama sama road user so no flame needed.
well watever race on public road , nobody wins. so safe driving, endure a bit , everything will be over. i only believe Singapore road is abt pick up & horse power, who reach 100km/hr faster or hit road limit faster who got the better car, the rest is guts & reckless.
I just kanna a QQ cherry with piss piss blow-off valves overtake me @100km/hr on a 70km road haha so who win?
