Horrible accident

SINGAPORE: Two people were injured in a traffic accident at the junction of Serangoon North Avenue 6 and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 on Saturday afternoon.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) received a call at about 2pm about an accident involving a lorry, two cars and a bus.

Upon arrival at the scene, SCDF officers found a man trapped in one of the cars.

They had to use equipment and tools to rescue him.

The man, in his thirties, was conscious and had multiple injuries.

A bus driver was also injured. She felt pain in her right knee and stomach.

Both were sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.

but kelisa don't have soft top? seems to be a small cabriolet?

at least, the man in the crushed white car survived. I looked at the mess, it's lucky to be alive. If no major problems, he should really thank god.

Hard to say. Like what the saying goes,it's hard to know how accidents will pan out. caught between 2 big lorries is a recipe for failure. Do you still remember the loyang accident?

However, if you look at the merc E class, Nothing much. The white car became the absorption zone for all 4 vehicles and because it's lower, it got rode up.

Its a Kelisa, pretty sure the SCDF guys cut part of the pillar to get the driver out, hence ~le kelisa cabrio~

In the name of pedestrian safety BMW is building cars with low bonnets... what happens if the vehicle gets rear-ended this way

Low bonnets. Z4, 3 Series etc all have drooping fronts.

Low front bonnets, so that in an accident with pedestrian, he/she get rolled above the car instead of trapped below.

Not really lower, I think they are now higher than previous generations. To prevent knees getting smashed. Bonnets made softer to cushion impact too.

Next they will make bonnets made out of styrofoam...cheap and sturdy...
