Pouring solvents into engine oil cannot run for too long. Depending on what it is it may thin the engine oil.

Getting lost here with the 'belt type' you mentioned bro. From what i see workshops use the ones you posted the photo earlier.

More versatile ...... Don't flick the yucky stuff from the filter back into the housing while lifting the filter out ......
