A Lamborghini burst into flames early Wednesday morning after its driver crashed the car into a road divider along the Lornie Road Flyover towards Upper Thomson Road.

No one was injured, said the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which received a call at 12.55am requesting for assistance. It dispatched a fire engine and a Red Rhino to the scene.

The fire was eventually put out with a fire extinguisher and a water jet, but the vehicle was damaged beyond repair, said the SCDF.

The police cordoned off several lanes and arrested the male driver, who is in his 40s, for suspected drink-driving. Police investigations are ongoing.

Drunk driver I heard from my father-in law. And cannot claim insurance becos of that.

Look at the tyre marks, the Lambo literally went straight into the road divider before swinging to the left and back to right and facing opposite direction of traffic.

Got to be illegal exhaust mod which affected the steering wheel's component so much so that the driver can't stir the car to navigate the bend... Some expert @ LTA say one.
