I suppose tow or AAS would be the best options. Foam really depends on how your tire is leaking air. Not all cases it will work.

Ya . If it happen in Malaysia , it the worst thing , even I had a space tire . The Fix a tire seem good to be an option . I alway had a bottle behind but so far never use it . Just hope that I am not going to use it

Really need to jack up the car meh? The video seem to suggest just pump leh! Hahah....

Anyway, I bought a jack and will probably bring it along when I'm travelling on the NS highway...

Happened to me once but before filling in the air temporary, need to jack up the car. Can travel all the way to the shop to change safely.

I got Airman but never had to use it. I guess if it happens in Singapore,still can call tow truck. If happen in Malaysia...

Actually, the onboard TPMS saved me from having a flat tire twice.... once in SG, and the other immediately after a long drive when I arrived in KL. Incidentally, both times were due to a leaking valve nipple - the one where you pump in air.

The mech and I were looking all over the wheel to look for a puncture and couldn't find one.... then finally, when we submerged the whole wheel into a basin of water, the leak location was immediately apparent.

my old ride comes with a similar mech as the video, and it comes with a jack so i use lor. Hahaha.. Bring jack around also good. Day time got chio bu car tyre flat can come in handy.

just call foreman to patch the tyre for me instantly...$20...you are not in m'sia...if NSHW, call PLUS...they have tyre repair service...but the only thing is you need to wait long long lor...MYR 50

Just curious, how this TPMS work? If we anyhow change tyre at any tyre shop, will it affect the TPMS system? Does it have additional wire to connect to the tyre in order to detect the leak/changes in air pressure? OR else no choice must always go back BMW expert workshops to change tyres or reset the TPMS?

Bmw has 2 types of tpms.
Basic one is just based on the rotational speed of the wheels. If the speed differs too much, it means one tyre is low and air and the car will show an alert.

The other type makes use of individual sensors inside the tyre, installed at where you inflate the tyres. This type can monitor individual tyres and flag low pressures via iDrive. There shouldn't be any problems for any tyre installers to change tyres.

Resetting of tpms can be done by owner in the car.

I'm not sure if pml brings in cars with the 2nd type but my E90 comes with the first type

Ok, correction on my miscommunication. I call ah yang he send guy to settle tyre burst, replacement temporary tyre. I pay him $100. It might sounds a lot but when you rushing to go somewhere for meeting, it's worth the hassle.

Fix it kit will not help much if you're on 20" or sidewall pecah....

If Malaysia kena, call tow truck to the nearest tyre shop.

Lesson to learn in Malaysia: keep tow truck numbers and workshop. Or sign-up AA.

Most decent tire shops will have this leh.... I had this problem TWICE (super suay!) Once in SG, and another time in KL. Both times needed the water bubbling trick to spot the leak.... Coz who would have guessed it was the valve? We were looking round and round (quite literally) for signs of puncture. Hahah!

You're absolutely correct.... In fact the "basic" one is more than sufficient in most cases. This is actually software driven - calculated by the same computer that monitors ABS and DSC. So it's a "by the way" kind of feature when you already have ABS and DSC.

The only problem with this "basic" TPMS feature is that it won't be able to detect if all 4 tires are low pressure - eg, in the case of not pumping in any aire for a long period of time already...

Anyway, one alternate augmentation to the TPMS system is to purchase those tire pressure monitoring valve caps:
