How Important Is a Vehicle History Report When Buying a Used Car?

Hey everyone,

I'm in the market for a used car and keep hearing about vehicle history reports like Carfax or AutoCheck.

Some sellers provide them, others don't. I'm wondering how reliable these reports are and what kind of red flags I should look for.

Are things like accidents, title status, or service records deal-breakers?

Also, if a report looks clean, is it safe to assume the car is in good shape?

Would love to hear your experiences and whether a vehicle history report has ever saved you from a bad purchase.
