how long should we change brake disc

Hi all

I am owning a E46 318 (16" rim) coming to 4 yrs old (>55,000 km). In general, how many km should I change my brake disc? I need to change, should I change it PML or other workshops? I heard other workshops is cheaper with the same quality of product and services. If so, any recommendation?

Bro, Mine same like you, just change front break disc at JUZZ for car at Sin ming auto car centre 2 weeks ago, feel confident with my sheer driving, let them check your entire car and service if required, Ke. ke. ke. with this recommendation perharps I would get special discount on the next servicing, ha ha ha ah

not how many km, but how much wear it has gotten. when you go in for inspection they will use vernier calliper to measure your thickness.

i believe at 55k km, there would have been one brake change... or else, the pad thickness would probably be thin now... your next change would then be brake + brake disc...

like what Racebred said, it is not km... best to get it checked by a workshop that uses measurement instead of just visual...

also, simple jobs like brakes, our list of workshops can liao... PML prices, you can probably do two to three rounds of change outside for just one time there...

Usually is change pads twice then its almost time to change rotors.. 55k to 60k seems timely.... but of cors... need to check with ur preferred service mechanice...

Changed my brake disc at J4C for 85x2 (front) and 80x2 (rear); brake pad for 95 (front) and 85 (rear). Labour for 90. Price b4 GST.
