1) to have a reliable workshop to do regular service
2) with 2K budget, what can I do to maximize my horsepower

S$2k budget...
Probably can do an ECU tuning..........

1) PowerBox $550 (approx real 18bhp boost)
2) AFE stage 2 open pod air intake approx $450 (sound boost equiv 100bhp @ 3,500rpm onwards)
3) M gear knob (faster shifting feels like 15bhp boost)
4) ///M sticker on kidney grille

Best mod for any 523 or 525 but must be quite expensive. Anyone know how much? Also, need to change ECU harness? 523 needs air intake upgrade?

Heard can be done in SG but it's illegal ...

Actually accordingly to LTA, any mod that modifies the original part is illegal, even change colour also need to inform them.

May be can swop with 3.0l E60 that is to be scraped. If less than the cost of turbo or supercharging, would be well worth it. Just think of the 300Nm torque... shiok. But would need to upgrade torque converter also?
