Dear Fellow Bros.

Thanks for the kind salutations and encouraging words.

I will be collecting my ride this afternoon.

As for the BHP...yes i did checked with my dealer before i signed on the dotted line on the 520I and he said its about 156bhp. Only the bigger CC 5 Series comes with 170bhb and above.

For me 156BHP is fine as i m not really a hard driver. My 320i previously was about that BHP too i believed. I just want to enjoy the ride and features of the 520i eg the Idrive and other cool stuffs not available in my 320i.

Oh 1 question, i m also planning to change my stock rims...its 17inches at the moment i believe on the ride.

So is 18 inch a reasonable upgrade? or should i go for 19 inch? Because the tyre shop i usually frequent advised me to upgrade to 19inches....

I m looking at staggered rims...at 18inches actually..with CSC3 tyres. So far i have been given a package of $3K for the new tyres and rims at 18inches.

Would appreciate any comments or advice from experienced bros here.

yes, usually we cant trust these dealer info that much...........probably they meant no harm ( humpless ) but it just that they always like to claim this and that ( owner park shelterred, never drive to Bangkok, owner LEAVING, Doctor/Tuition Teacher owner, Blah Blah Blah......) is normal...they are just making a living ( like we are not )............at times we just need them to be honest and more upfront to make the deal more Refine and Strawberry.....

either that or they ( dealers ) don't know much about the car themselves thus anyhow wack....

hard to find good dealers too....................

ok, enough said..........hope you enjoy your Sheer Driving Pleasure...

anyway, do you want to mod to 170hp????

Thank AC and no plan to mod yet as find the ride to be just sufficient for my need at the moment. Planning a trip to Malaysia latter this month and will reassess the need. Based on butt feel, previous ride might be a bit fast in picking up but hollow. Now is bit slow but steady. Thank you everyone and glad be to part of this family.

Hey guys, do you remember when PML was selling E60 520 with 4 cyl engine in 2008 it was really quoted 170hp.

Totally agree on the driving dynamics. My wife is totally disinterested when it comes to discussing about handling and stability but when I ask her which car she loves driving the most, its always hands dow the E36 316 back 12 years ago.

It may have been slow and under powered and I had many an Ah Pek overtaking me on his ancient bicycle angrily waving his fist at me but hey, it saved my family when a motorcyclist decided to beat the traffic light and ploughed into the side of the car. He flew 15m and all I had was a dent in the door!

Engine is really smoother than my 320i before and pickup is smooth and effortless. Just pumped in first tank of V power tonight and will monitor the fuel consumption over the next week or so

As for the tyre size, i will check out the 19inches staggered as what bro has advised.

u mean all the while u were having around 7km/l fc? it could be ur driving style (heavy footed), a lot of city driving, or maybe a change of engine oil, oil n air filter n spark plugs might help..... i'm getting around 9plus, but on hard driving days, it could go as low as 8..... but mine's the lci.
