How much Engine oil to prepare?

Hi guys...
I am sure this topic has been discussed till death. But i can't seems to find any thing on it....

I will need to service my car pretty soon, looking at the way the countdown meter jumps.

i drive a 320, and i am wondering how much engine oil should i bring for the first servicing? I remember for the E46 318, it was 5 litres.... is it the same for the E90?

Also, any feedback on the mobil trisynthetic 0-40 on the E90 320? or is shell helix ultra better?

thanks in advance for all advice
Henry

Are we allow to bring our own oil when we send in the car to PML for servicing?

Yes... but make sure your CSA knows about it.

How can they not allow?

There are a number of AD workshops out there that do not allow us to bring in our own oil. That's why I checking it out. My first time dealing with PML. :)

no way man.. unless they are providing it for free.. otherwise, how can they not allow it? Even if they are providing for free, they are happier if you bring your own oil.

Just make sure the oil is good enough for the engine, otherwise, they might tell you the oil is not suitable and hence void the warranty.
