Pai say.. For alot of guys (at least for me), we spent the first part of life working hard to make money. Towards mid to late 30s we see our hard work come to fruition, that's when we start to enjoy life (and cars).

At 40, we've only just begun..

Btw, if you have to ask whether you can afford M3 in an open forum, you're probably not ready. Wait a few years more..

Age = size of M? Not many need the size of a M5 unless have a family to lug around. More importantly the M5 drives differently from a M3. I personally dont like big cars, been there done​that.

Very true. I have a friend who draws a salary of 2.5k, but drives a ls460 to work because the rest in the garage are too noisy for him to properly enjoy his music

True story.. friend has rich father. 18 years old after get license daddy bought him an SLK. 21st birthday bought him ferlali.

Word of advice to unmarried forummers.. You can't choose your father unfortunately. But you can choose your father-in-law. So choose wisely

Person A earns $350K fixed a year, can afford to buy a $350K car, if he wants to. Respect if he lives frugally and drives a MPV.

Person B earns $150K fixed and $100K bonus, takes a risk and went full leverage to buy a $350K car, die die wants to. No disrespect, if stretches himself that way. His lifestyle, his finances.

Smart money management? We know the answer.

Therefore all those old uncles above 40 years old please don't waste your money buying car that you cannot handle or don't rev above 4,000rpm.

Age and driving profile should have no relevance.

I can always quote you the lack of maturity and control from younger drivers (insurance companies' logic).
